The Mountains to Sound Relay organization is thrilled to be a part of Mountains to Sound Greenway and the Trust that guides it. We are contributing 25% of all Sponsorship dollar proceeds along with $50 per team entrant. As an optional choice, participants may contribute on their own as a team or individual to continue helping The Mountains to Sound Greenway provide us with the stewardship for the corridor we all live and love in.
Your contributions help purchase lands and provide project funding to help maintain an open corridor from Thorpe on the east side to the Puget Sound.
Give now and enjoy the benefits for a lifetime. Volunteer and give via the Relay here (link this to the volunteer link)
More about the Greenway: www.mtsgreenway.org
The Mountains to Sound Greenway is the scenic, and recreation corridor along Interstate 90. This landscape stretches 100 miles from the Seattle waterfront through forests and rugged mountains to the edge of desert grasslands in Central Washington.
The hundreds of thousands of acres of land that are within the Greenway encompass vast forests, trails of all kinds, historic landmarks, wildlife habitat, parks and camping areas, working farms and forests and lands set aside to sustain clean air and water.
This landscape is mostly protected from development, but it's no accident. In the past 15 years, over 125,000 acres of land have been acquired by the public in the Greenway, and an additional 90,000 have been protected from development by conservation easements.
