Profile: 1/2 knot downstream current in calm water. Snags and some shallow areas abound.

Drop off for paddlers will be available at 6AM on Sunday and pick up no later than 3PM. The transition will not be fully set up by 6AM but the general zone for placing your boat will be designated. Paddlers launch into the Sammamish Slough at Luke McRedmond Park in Redmond.

The park is next to Redmond Way on 159th PL NE and can be driven to from Leary Way or Redmond Way. Use your favorite mapping program to locate your best approach.

Primary drop-off/pick-up parking is available across Redmond Way in the Charter Bank parking lot. Please, no cars into the park entry. There is a path entry to Luke McRedmond on the slough side of that lot that leads to the park under the overpass. Please be aware that the Sammamish River Trail is open to the public and care must be taken in handling your boats. Please, no cars into the park entry.

Paddle downstream approx. 12 miles. After exiting from the mouth of Sammamish Slough, paddle past Kenmore Air taking heed of seaplanes. Look for balloons
at the end of Log Boom Park's dock. Leave the dock to your right and head into shore to the beach, disembark and touch off to your Half Marathon teammate or continure onto the run if you are and Iron Solo.

*No oarlocks.
*Canoes, kayaks, surfski's, Huki's, C-Lions and outriggers to 4'6" OK.
*Approved pfd's are required
*Log Boom Park Take-out will have grassy areas for your boat.
*If you don't want your kayak to be placed in the gravel at the beach, request that it be taken and placed on the lawn.
*Your support group will be allowed to assist you.
